thoughts upon graduation

I'm running on little to no sleep from the last few days, but it's important that I update now.

I'm done.

Done with college, that is.

After a website crashing, recreating it, a finished documentary, and an econ final in the last, well, three days, I'm done.

If it were not for sitting at John's computer, listening to the raging theater party outside my window and having just returned from Jeff Redinger's apartment where I hung out with freshman year Willardite-types, I might be able to fully appreciate and comprehend that phrase--I'm done.

But instead, I languish in the residue of heat, the drip of the Ridge and Davis air conditioners, and the darkness of this darkened room and pretend that this is not it. That this might be another beginning.

And I suppose, ultimately, it is. But how can one move forward when one is too busy looking behind her?

So I will allow myself this time to decompress, to wax nostalgic, and to do whatever it is that all graduating seniors do (drink? cry? repress?) in the next week before graduation. Perhaps I will be ready. And perhaps I won't.

But at the end, for most of my life, I will be a Northwestern graduate. So for now, I will relish in this threshold--this in-between--and wait.

It's Finals Week

And I'd be remiss not to mention that after running into Grant and Scott, who were carrying an emptied Heineken box full of Rockstar Energy Drink, red cups, two ping-pong balls, and--for some reason--orange juice, I have now seen two "grown" college men play energy drink pong in an emptied library tower past closing time. And now we are sitting in the dark, backed up against a wall and testing our computers to make sure they will turn off at a moment's notice if someone should open the door to this room to make sure it's empited.

I guess it's college, and I'll enjoy it while it lasts.

Baby's First All-Nighter(s)

This is going to take a while, but it's worth noting. Keep in mind, also, some of these are approximations, as my concept of time was greatly skewed.

THURSDAY:
9:30 am: I wake, shower, screw around the room.
11 am: I go to Unicorn to read.
Noon: I eat lunch with Jess.
1:30 pm: I go to Art Store to buy supplies for my Storytelling children's book project.
2:30 pm: I draw in the Common Room.
5:00 pm: I watch Burnt by the Sun with Jason and Oscar.
7:00 pm: Our Cozy Noodles by delivery arrives.
7:05 pm: I bitch out people who set shit on fire and almost catch a tree on fire, too.
7:10 pm: Hen run for drinks.
7:30 pm: Restart movie.
10:00 pm: Movie ends. Feel hella depressed try to get cheered up.
11:30 pm: Move down to Rat Trap to draw more. End up talking to Jeff for an hour instead.

FRIDAY:
12:30 am: Actually start drawing. Read and other things, too.
3:00 am: Hen run with Schenks.
3:20 am: Discuss all USSR notes with Schenks.
4:30 am: Return to drawing.
6:00 am: Go onto roof to spend some time NOT working.
7:00 am: Discover that I do not have enough white paper to print off everything for my project. Get white paper from Mike, while in 3DP, I notice Trace sitting on the couch, staring at Grant who is sleeping seemingly naked. Thoroughly weirded out.
7:10 am: Run to CVS. Buy binder.
7:20 am: Bind everything. Project done.
7:30 am: Eat the bagel that Jess and Mike picked up for me. Down two energy drinks and one Frappuccino.
7:45 am: Shatter one Lime Perrier and scream.
8:00 am: Take pictures of myself and Jess being crazy.
8:15 am: Shower.
8:40 am: Call Mom, talk too fast for her to understand me.
9:00 am: USSR final.
9:23 am: Finish USSR final?
10:00 am: Go to Unicorn with Jess.
11:00 am: Put things in storage with Jess and parents.
12:00 pm: Go with parents to study abroad office to drop off project. Now officially academically done.
12:45 pm: Go down to 3DP to say goodbye to Mike.
1:15 pm: Mike leaves.
1:30 pm: Go to Buff Joe's with Jess and some of the guys.
2:15 pm: Help Jess move her stuff outside.2:30 pm: Jess leaves.
2:58 pm: Make very sad lj entry.
3:30 pm: Start getting stuff packed.
4:00 pm: Frappuccino bought at Starbucks. Run to Hen.
5:00 pm: Start making dinner plans.
6:00 pm: Run over to Blom to find Eric and company...no success.
6:45 pm: Meet up with some of dinner crew to go to Joy Yee's.
7:30 pm: Sit down finally for some delicious dinner and smoothees.
9:00 pm: Try to pack more.
9:30 pm: Give in and sleep for a bit.
11:30 pm: Awoken by Jason and Jiwon.

SATURDAY:
Midnight: Up and moving again. Packing. Realize my luggage is missing. Make plans to go to beach.
1:00 am: Plan to beach canceled with JP's goodbye visit.
2:15 am: Schenks stops by, John stops by, many others follow in Jason's wake.
4:00 am: Jeff stops by. Decision to go to White Hen made.
4:30 am: Hen run.
5:00 am: Climb onto roof one last time.
6:30 am: After deciding to really get to packing, I sit with the hybrid, Jaff Schedinger for an hour and a half talking.
8:00 am: Really get packing.
8:30 am: Shower.
9:00 am: Screw around because sleeping at this point is a bad idea, even though I'm done packing.
11:00 am: Parents come, lots and lots and lots of loading of car to bring things to storage begins.
3:00 pm: Best/worst decision ever. I drive someone else's car to take Brett to drop a chair off in storage. Parking a car has never been so difficult.
11:00 am -- 5:00 pm: Lots of goodbyes and surrealness.
5:00 pm: Final checking out of Willard.
5:15 pm: Last moment standing in lobby, staring at mailroom and thinking about the last two years.
5:20 pm: Dinner with parents at Clarke's.
6:15 pm: Hit the road. Asleep before my parents turn west onto Davis. Literally.
9:45 pm (est): Wake up. Drink water. Fall asleep again.

SUNDAY:
1:45 am: Arrive in Ohio. Ask my mom, tiredly, "Can we move everything out of the car tomorrow?" My mom replies, "Jesus, CC!" and I think she's mad that I suggested it, but instead she thinks I am nuts for even considering moving things that night.
1:55 am: Already in my own bed. Passed out.
2:45 pm: Wake up. Begin living, kinda. Screw around all day, get dinner at Bravo with parents, get ice cream, screw around until...
7:00 pm: I pass out again.
10:00 pm: I wake up and think to myself, Shit. I might have finally slept TOO much. I watch a thunderstorm, talk with friends online, until...

MONDAY:
2:23 am: When I realize, yes, I did sleep too much and I should be asleep by now.

Half-Way

I went to bed last night at 6:30 am.

Not because I was writing papers.
Not because I was reading.
Not because I was studying for an exam.

Just because I wanted to.
Just because I stayed outside Willard to talk to friends.
Just because I climbed up on the roof and watched the sun rise with a friend.
Just because.

An incoming freshman's mother emailed me about Willard because she saw my picture up as being a fireside chair on the website. I emailed her back, two weeks late, with every intent of making a short email explaining that she should email current fireside chairs and just say that Willard is pretty-cool-I-guess.

As I got writing, I found myself writing her an epic of an email, professing my love for a dorm that is full of people with such passion for life and enthusiasm to do the more unusual and most amazing things. I am so lucky, I realized, to be living here. I am lucky that for two years of my college experience, I've gotten to know the people I think are the most amazing people on this campus.

There's something about the culmination of a relatively disappointing last few weeks with finding new amazing people who refresh you when you begin to feel burnt out that is incredible. I have my oldest, newest, closest and best friends here around me, and I feel so lucky.

From running into the lake, to pudding wrestling; from winter quarter dance parties, to spring quarter euchre; from White Hen runs, to wine cleaning parties; from late nights talking in the Mouse Trap, to early mornings watching the sun rise; from throwing things from windows, to sneaking on roofs; from breaking into SAGA, to breaking into attics; from Quad parties, to Franzia/drum corps parties; from sitting by the radiator with honeynut cheerios, to cheesy movies on tiny futons; from knocking on walls to communicate with friends through rooms, to AIM'ing people next door; from extreme billards, to ultimate frisbee; from late night trips to the beach, to romps in the snow; from long ass dorm meetings, to crazy ass central meetings; from the first awkward New Student Week dance party I attended, to the first NSW dance party I helped organize; from the first nerves that exploded in hello, to the ones that blew up in a hug; from smoking cigars outside Willard, to driving with friends with my feet out the window; from the very moment I stepped into this dorm and saw people I knew in line to get their keys with me (Paul Bryan from Preview NU and Grant from Cincy), from the moment I stepped into my tiny ass crotch room freshman year and Jess and I made it work, from the moment I first felt at home and then had to leave it before coming home again, and even right now, thinking that I will be somewhere else next year, I wax nostalgic and feel honored to have shared my first two years of college with these amazing people.

I didn't intend for this to be my "Holy Shit! I'm Almost Half-Way Done With School!" entry, but it might have ended up being that.

Being Cliché

I'm getting all sentimental. That sucks.

I just got off the phone from an hour and a half long conversation with Brandon. Before that, I was with my parents moving around storage and we drove around looking at the old "familiar" sights of Wilmette.

Yesterday involved:
One last final
Packing
Burning CDs, a lot
Goodbyes
Dinner at Panera
Running in the rain with John down Sherman
Slideshows and pizza
Dance parties
Naps at midnight
More packing
Quietly spending last nights with friends

Stayed up last night with John til 4 am talking about our coming summers. Lil Jess came in shortly thereafter and we reviewed our short college experiences til 5. What stereotypical last-few-nights talks, but I think they had to happen.

Outside my window, cars nearly ram into one another in efforts to get parking spots near the dorms. It's chaos.

So many people left today. How can it be that I feel like I still JUST got to college and yet I have such a connection with a still unfamiliar place?

I was still just getting to know so many people and I don't want summer to interrupt. I'm, of course, anxious to get home and try to settle back into my old skin, but I don't know if that's going to be completely possible.

Sorry to make this cliche end-of-my-freshman-year-at-college entry, but I think...it had to happen. :)

I've Been Doing Things

I've had an incredible end to this school year. I couldn't have asked for more in the last few days. Well, could someone cancel my exams this week? That'd be okay. I cannot possible describe the fun I had Saturday Luau'in, beachin', and music/movie/rearrangin' roomin' it up. Friday was amazing as well, what with finishing up a course a week early and seeing Harry Potter 3. So, in an abreviated version... Here are photos to let you know what I've been up to...

He almost managed to get me back...

Scott is amazing. This is what I love about kids.

Bryan and I in sepia-toned action.

Don't worry. We're still best buds, but we just taste better!

Ryan and Barrak fighting.

I think I look like the Virgin Mother of Pudding in this photo.

The dirty girls.

The aftermath.

PS. I love life.

I Went to Dillo Day, Too!

No really. I did. I pulled myself out of the library for a good solid 24 hours to partake in the festivities...

Friday night, I saw NSTV, of which the most impressive portion was probably the opening shot/credits and Robert's Oregon Trail sketch. Indeed! I was "lucky enough" to get into Sax and Dixon at 11, and in between the two shows saw part of Dark Side of the Moon up at Norris and drank hot chocolate. After all the fun visual stimuli, many a person went to Sig Ep to dance. On the way home, I purposely fell off Brett's back and almost took out...Andy? maybe? Alex Robins? maybe?...Well, point is I almost hurt someone else on top of myself. I like to take people down with me.

Saturday, went something along the lines of this:
11 am...wake
11:30 am...realize Master Gary meant he wanted an "OLD FASHIONED" way to show his slides, but instead get awesome hour long convo about all his amazing experiences.
1 pm...Walk up with John to see Foster Walker Complex, meet up with Chris Britt for lunch
3 pm...Relaxing, drinking, eating in Jason's room whilst sitting in the window seat
4 pm...The M's :), meeting The M's, laying in sunshine
6 pm...Gavin Degraw...asshole extraordinaire, observation of crazy girls who scream and throw underwear on stage, admittance that the guy is a performer
7:30ish...Dinner with David, John, and Tom
8:15ish...Wine and drum corps with David
9 pm...The Wailers with David, Bryan, and John, dancing, feeling happy, watching fireworks, singing along, smiling
10:30ish...4 friends, sitting on lakefill, talking about respective homes.
11:15ish...Kafein with David, Bryan, and John for milkshakes to go
...rest of the evening in blurred frenzy...
watching game of Mafia///talking with friends whilst laying in hallway///more wine and drum corps with David///more drum corps in Rat Trap with David and John///techno dance party with John in Rat Trap///listening to Queen and falling asleep in Brett's bed///waking up to Brett trying to get in bed with me at 10 am.

Still More DM

I just looked really hard at the Willard website for the first time since before I actually moved in. I've glanced at it once or twice to check up on things, but looking at it now, I'm somewhat overwhelmed.

I remember looking at all the photos of exec and central board people this summer when trying to decide where I was going to live. Specifically, I remember looking at the photos of Karl and Heather and appreciating Erin Fitzgerald's comment: "Be who you are and say how you feel because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind." (Props, Dr. Seuss, you literary genius.) The website really was what convinced me to try for Willard. Then at the Cincinnati NU get-together, meeting people who were living there (Julia, Zach, Zak, Grant, Rebecca) started to make it a reality.

I had no idea then, or even when moving in what a great experience this dorm would provide me. I've met so many amazing people here, so many brilliant, talented, and giving people. I feel like Dance Marathon was the culmination of all of the feeling that Willard exudes and more. I know that I have a home here and these people are my family, and simply put, my family rocks.

Matt sent an email to the listserv today about DM, commenting on the amazing 9th block (hours 24-27). Here's part of his email, since I cannot possibly describe this experience any better:

We had already been dancing for a day before we got to the block where we
wore our Willard shirts. And when we came out onto the dance floor for
that block (the one-hit wonders block... AMAZING!) there was this giant
mass of light blue, all dancing together. It was a fucking dancing sky.
It looked incredible and we intimidated. But that wasn't the best part.
While we were all dancing together, "Get What You Give" by the New
Radicals DEFINITELY came on, and it. was. amazing.
Everyone was jumping, aerial hand-clapping (props to Peter "the" Kahn),
and just dancing their minds out, flailing about. No one was spared. It
was the most positive seizure of all time

Dance Marathon was such a positive experience for me, I really cannot describe it. I, in all cheesy honesty, feel like I truly learned a lot about myself, other people, and the impact we all have on one another. You put five hundred college kids in a room and you tell them: Dance. For thirty hours... And they do it. And not only that, but they do it for an amazing cause. I was impacted emotionally in so many ways during DM and I'm completely happy I decided to participate.

Some of my favorite memories, aside from the moment described by Matt above...

1. "What's Goin On?" This song came on during the third block (Vogue) and I nearly lost it. I have so many fond memories of this song and there's nothing like screaming it with all your friends and going nuts.

2. Visitors, Sneak-ins, Gifts At my lowest point of physical and emotional energy, I saw John in the crowd, dancing. I can't describe how happy I was to see him. He lifted my spirits and my energy when I most needed it. Not to mention the fact that he and Brett came back later and snuck in bottled water (since DM had run out) and some Gatorade. :-)

Barrak was completely amazing and brought everyone popsicles. I had an orange one during "One Hit Wonders", the ninth block, and the block where everyone had their Willard shirts on. That orange popsicle did me soooo good. It was the most refreshing food I had the whole time I was there.

Sophie sent me some Gatorade that was a huge help once I ran out of water in the middle of the night! Bryan came twice to say hi to all of us... Heather made me a pin that says "'Rock DJ'" (Damn! Why didn't they play that f'n song, now that I think of it...) and she visited numerous times... even though I apparently fell asleep in the bathroom and missed her... Hm... We'll never know. God, I saw so many people, I can't even list them all. I just loved everyone for coming and saying hi, giving encouragement, and sneaking in to dance with us. You people rocked.

3. Breakfast Talks After eating, I joined Zeke over by the window where we propped our feet up in the air, ignored most of the performances, and just talked. We agreed that the night had not happened, since it was just a big sweaty dancing blur.

4. 80s Rock Out Jason and I completely expended all energy from about 5:15 until 6:45 am during the 80s block. I don't know where that energy came from, and I won't question it now, but all I know was, he and I rocked the dance floor... Specifically during "Walk Like an Egyptian". I mean, we even got compliments from the camera man who was following us.

5. 'N Sync with Josh Sharing a special duet to "I Want it That Way" with the amazing Josh.

6. Cool Battle Scars I broke through the skin on my left ring finger from snapping my fingers in the first two blocks. Is it possible? Apparently.

7. Sandwich Special: One slice of CC between John and Matt. Enough said.

8. Dancing with Harry Potter Oh, Harry and his sexy scarf... oh God.

9. Best compliment of all time You're neat.

10. Seeing What We Did Getting to see the children and their parents was unreal and truly an emotional experience. The father who pumped his arms into the air when his son finished reading; the boy who said that Willie the Wildcat was a beast, but a nice one; the girl who loved being able to be on the screen in front of everyone; the kids dancing in the back with their parents and other dancers; the founder and the other mothers who started the organization out of the top floor of an ice hockey arena. These people are inspiring.

11. More Willard Love And this moment is where it all truly came together for me. For the last song, instead of just grabbing a partner as the mediocre/lower than average male em-cee suggested, Willard just grabbed itself. We took up a huge amount of the dance floor, and just hugged each other, swaying back and forth. After dancing for thirty hours, raising over 28,000 dollars, seeing everything we were able to do for these children and their families, and spending an entire evening with my friends, nothing felt more right than to just be with them in that moment.

Thank you, Willard, for being such awesome people, exceeding my expectations from this summer, and making my experience at Northwestern all the more amazing because of it.

A Long Good Day

Hi. I just danced for thirty fucking hours. That's a day straight, plus another quarter of a day. From sunset, to sunrise, to sunset, and to night. Amazing. Or maybe I should just take credit. I am amazing cause I didn't sit except for during the ten minute breaks and meals. Every other person dancing there was amazing, along with the people who organized DM. And without any doubt in my mind, the children who we are helping are completely amazing. I didn't get to work at Have Dreams yet, but now I defintely want to. Those children are truly an inspiration.

Aside from the facts, some interesting things to know are...
1. I shared many awseome moments at DM that I will share if I remember them later.
2. Not dancing in life now seems unnatural.
3. I definitely shared an intimately embarassing delirious side of self to John, Karl, Matt, and various others as I rambled.
4. I started to dance while packing my suitcase, imagining a beat in my head, and twisting my hips while I sat on my ass and pumping my arms as I reached for clothing.
5. I am exhausted. Seriously. I am giong to bed now that it is 2:30. I have been awake for officially... uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... hold on give me a sec... i'm tired, gimme a break... uhh................. 41.5 hours.

GOODNIGHT.

Ps. the subject is what zeke and I decided as how to define DM.

Polka All Over

Today was strange. But great. And wonderfully filled with root beer and polka.

The usual Saturday morning routine: Lunch at Plex with Erik and Anna.
OH, but friends...

Honestly. You must get this sandwich at the Plex:

Toasted Onion Roll bun
Mozzarella
Tomatoes
Basil
Pesto
Cucumbers

Oh, delicious... Mm...

So, yeah. I editted Bryan's paper and read some more of my wonderful new book. I guess tomorrow I will pay by having to think of my stuff for elections speeches for vice (come vote for me, willard friends.) and finishing that paper that I never finished LAST weekend. Yeah. Prison songs. I want to enjoy it, so I won't stay up ridiculously late. It's only first draft to turn in, so yeah. Okay.

Anyway, I called Brandon today and talked for the first time with him in over a week. Yeah. That's sort of how it is I guess. You know. :( But, in good news from that conversation, umm... well I guess good news... he shaved his head which blows my mind. I am sitting here trying to think of my B with his head shaved. It's not happening. I can't imagine. Ahhh! NO! okay. Let's hope it grows some in the next few weeks, or else I won't see him during spring break. OR MICHAEL. shit guys! wtf? Shaved heads? Oh man.

So then the most amazing thing happened. And it was called Polka Party.

Jess and I ran down Sherman to Presence to get some last minute ridiculousness for our outfits. Oh yeah.

I wore the following:
A pink tanktop
A maroon shiny skirt
A maroon shiny tie
A black tux jacket
Black fishnets
My punky shoes
Pink earring and bracelet
Mario Wristband
Hells yah.

I got second place in the Best Dressed for girls behind the amazing Kate Kountzman. That girl totally wore some underwear outside her pants. Wow.

Aside from eating some heavyduty meat, heavyduty cake, and learning how to polka, I also drank lots of water, sweated tons, danced with some awesome polka dancers (props to Matt for just jumping in the air to offbeats with me, Isaac for being classy and waltzing with me, and Bryan for being simply an awesome polka dancer. To think he almost didn't come.), oh, and Matt and I won the King and Queen of Polka or something. I think. Totally shocking, considering we both just learned to polka and um he had 10 shots. So yeah. Wow! I can't believe I didn't realize how drunk he was. I mean, wow. And... he didn't fall over. And he led me. How did this happen? Yeah, so we totally got polka CDs.

The ride home was amazing as well. In my corner there was Matt, Bryan, Bryan, Grant, Karl, Mathias, Kevin Durnbaugh, and various others who led to some extreme craziness. Seemingly deserted and empty bus turned out to be super loud and sexually crazy bus. Yep. Wow.

Post Polka was spent hangin with Heather, Jess, Tate, Lil Jess, and Lindsay in Heather and Jess's room. Good quiet times. Well kinda quiet times. H and I ventured first floor to see the happenings, but unfortunately there was not much except the crazy "LoveBiorhythms" we set up with the help of Grant. Apparently Heather and I are super compatable (I feel like I'm not spelling this right) so we're going to go skinnydipping and have sex at the lake. Heather and Grant aren't allowed to talk anymore since their scores were so low. No more talking for them. And Grant and I are only allowed to apparently be locked in a dark room and have sex aided by Heather as "Sex Helper" (maybe "sex mediator" instead?) since we're so intellectually incompatable that we're dumb heads.

Tomorrow are exec elections. I am really excited (nervous) and it'll be okay if I don't win (I really would like to) and I have my speech all ready (I don't), so yeah. Maybe I should get an amazing NINE HOURS of sleep tonight and go to bed earlier than I have at all... in... Um... before three... when did this last happen? I don't know. Wow.

Okay, goodnight friends and lovers. Happy polka evening to you all.

12 Hours from Hell

TWELVE HOURS FROM HELL

otherwise known as midnight 1/30 to noon 1/30

MIDNIGHT-3 am: Study session/bonding session in Heather's room with her, Jason, and various other people who joined the party

3 am-3:30 am: Failed attempts to sleep (Meanwhile, one bed over, Jess doesn't sleep but an hour the entire night)

3:30-approximately 6 am: Sleep! Yay! Ignorance is bliss!

Approximately 6 am: FIRE ALARM FROM HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IT'S 6:30 AM.

THE WIND CHILL IS -20 BELOW ZERO.

THERE IS FIRE ALARM, DURING WHICH I PARTAKE IN AN IMPROV STUDY SESSION CONCERNING ANSELM'S PROOF OF GOD'S EXISTENCE.

I AM NORTHWESTERN.

Post-Demonic Fire Alarm-7:15 am: Failed attempts to sleep

10 am: Sleep through discussion group

11:00 am-Noon: History of Philosophy midterm=no fun at all

Then my day picked up... Meaning, I watched television, read Newsweek, cuddled with Anna, and slept for the rest of the afternoon until...

5:30-5:45 pm: Pregame for SAGA with some raspberry vodka shots. Sad, true, tons of fun.

5:45-6:30 pm: SAGA drunkeness

lost time... until 8:00 pm: GYPSY

Finally a late evening concluded with more raspberry vodka, music, sobering up during a long convo with Anna, a dance party to Toxic on repeat, and Fantasia 2000 in John and Brett's room.

I have been productive today, eating at Panera and practicing my horn self for over an hour. Uncle Steve can eat it since he sent me bogus attachment that doesn't tell me shit about my research project... And he's not at home to tell me what the attachment said. Gr...

But now I am off to see Lucia at the Lyric Opera House. Oh man... Gotta get my culturin' in.

Exclamation points serve to amplify and emphasize

Today rocked my world for many reasons. I had two classes and was done by noon. I like this better than my Fridays off schedule because it's more rewarding!! :D I totally ate lunch with Brett and John and then hung around doing superfun things like PAYING BILLS! WOOOOOOO! Yay for getting things done.

Tonight, Jess and I were like... Sheeit. What are we gonna do?
We thought, Whoa, there is so nothing to do.
But we were so wrong!

!!!We ventured out into Evanston for some good chocolate fun at the chocolaterrie. I don't know if that's what you call it, but we will.

!!!Then Tate met up with us, we ran into voice majors Meghan and Dennis.

!!!Then we had a winin' dinin' good time in NMQ in Dennis' room before beginning the hunt for: a-million-people-cc-didn't-know.

!!!Then, the million people CC didn't know, plus her usuals, all went to Las Palmos. Wow. The whole losing your voice and regaining it thing doesn't always work well when you're laughing really hard. I've never heard anyone refer to effects of drinking as making their penis feel tingly, but that comment has totally changed my perception of drunkeness.

!!!Then it snowed, a lot! And Tate pushed me in the snow! What is it with me getting pushed in the snow, man?

!!!Then we totally hung out at Jones and I watched/semi-had-to-participate-in a game of Spin the Bottle. It was so close to pornography, I can't even explain. When it comes to spin-the-bottle kissing, Meghan pulled the fastest move on me ever. Whoa!

!!!Then Jess and I headed back to the dorm with another kid CC didn't know, but met! Alright!

!!!Then Jess, John and I bundled up and went out into the snow. We played in the hilly valleys outside Jones and went to the beach. I wrote my name really big. John wrote his nickname "Smells" right by mine! Aww! I love snow so much! (did I mention that it is cashmere?) We totally saw the Titanic sink in Lake Michigan too!

Tonight has created some conclusions for me...
1. I shouldn't judge people too quickly.
2. Some people will be hoes and others are future pornographic camera-men.
3. Spin the Bottle can desolve into drunken orgies.
4. John can be a lifeguard and save "Jskah"'s life whenever.
5. Whips aren't meant to be cracked in hallways.
