Thanks to the god-awful freezing Chicago weather, there’s excitement down the block from my office.
A water main explosion on Montrose late last night has the street in dirty shambles today. Apparently water reached the four foot mark at some points on the street (probably under the Metra tracks). I haven’t been by yet to see the chaos, but CNN has a video of the craziness and various Flickrites have images, like this one.
